The Drawing Room Creative Studio, Surrey

In 2025, we brought a long-held dream to life with the creation of The Drawing Room Creative Studio & Design Studio in Great Bookham, Surrey  a space shaped by our love of nature, creativity, craftsmanship and community.

The Drawing Room grew from our desire to create somewhere that feels a little different: relaxed, light-filled and welcoming, where people can come together, make something, celebrate, learn something new or simply enjoy some time away from the everyday.

A creative space for everyone

Our greenhouse studio is home to our pottery painting studio, where children and adults can choose from a range of ceramics and create something completely their own, at their own pace.

Alongside pottery painting, we bring in seasonal workshops, pop-up creative sessions and special events, with new ideas continually evolving throughout the year.

But The Drawing Room is more than just a creative workshop space.

Our light-filled greenhouse is also available for exclusive hire, and we love creating tailored experiences for both children and adults. From children’s birthday parties and family celebrations to private gatherings, creative get-togethers and special occasions, we’re happy to work with you to create something that feels personal to you and your guests.

The space is relaxed, flexible and surrounded by the beautiful setting of The Vineries Garden Centre, with free parking for our guests.

More than just a creative studio

The Drawing Room sits alongside Studio Windsor Garden Design, our garden design showroom and studio. The two spaces have grown together naturally, bringing our shared love of nature, design and creativity into one place.

Our team is currently putting the finishing touches to the garden design studio, with plans for the space to continue evolving. We’re also working towards creating an outdoor kitchen and entertaining area, opening up even more possibilities for gatherings, workshops and outdoor living experiences.

For us, this space has always been about more than simply creating a business.

We’re building a little community — a place where local families, creatives, small businesses and like-minded people can connect, collaborate and share ideas.

We’re fortunate to have created The Drawing Room within The Vineries Garden Centre, with free parking for our guests and plenty of room for the space to continue growing and changing with us.

A little bit of us

The Drawing Room is very much a labour of love. We’re a small, family-run team, building the space alongside our own family life and growing it gradually, with plenty of ideas still to come.

Becoming parents has made us even more aware of how important community, creativity and connection are — and how valuable it is to have places where families and people can simply come together.

So whether you’re coming in to paint a pot, joining one of our seasonal workshops, celebrating a birthday, hiring the space for a private gathering, or simply popping in to see what we’re creating next, we’d love for you to feel at home.
